Saracens, of course, are familiar with Strettle’s assets from the contributions he made to the two titles won during his five years with them. But when Strettle headed to France on the eve of the 2015 Rugby World Cup it was assumed that it would be a Gallic swansong, all the more so given that his international career appeared to have come to an end with the last of his 14 caps won in 2013.
It would seem that David Strettle has already achieved so much and there is more on offer from this super fit player. In March 2019, Active Digital was kindly invited to attend the testimonial dinner at The Brewery in London for David Strettle. A testimonial dinner honours a player for their service to their game and their club. David has played rugby for England as well as among others Harlequins, Clermont Auvergne, Saracens.
On the evening, David chose to support two charities which was Duchenne UK at the dinner along with the Matt Hampson Foundation. Active Digital was only too happy to donate two items for the auction as well as making a separate donation, raising over £1500 on the night from these items. Active Digital’s Business Director, Jo Wimble-Groves was really pleased to meet Henry Fraser – a motivational ambassador fordisability and living an amazing life.
