Apple Announcement Coming Soon – What to Expect?
Rumours are starting to circulate on what we can expect to see from Apple over the next few months and we normally expect a big announcement in September / October.
Around early Autumn, Apple invites the press and industry professionals out to a theatre to hear all about its latest products and services. Apple calls these “Special Events,” and streams them online to its millions of fans.
Apple have just announced a digital-only event on September 15th where it’s expected to reveal new products.
Apple normally refreshes its iPhone line as its headline act. At the same time, Apple may unveil some other products so could we expect a new Apple Watch and perhaps a new iPad? Apple are notorious for keeping their cards close to their chests, but we have made a round up of what we hope to see: –
iPhone 12
Many of our customers are waiting to see a 5G Apple iPhone. Let’s hope it’s coming. Rumours say that 5G wireless chips are on their way, plus Apple is going to add a laser-powered time-of-flight 3D rear camera like the LiDAR Scanner in the iPad Pro for significant improvements to AR experiences.
Apple may also decide to do away with LCD and bring in an all start OLED iPhone line up. We’re expecting a 5.4-inch iPhone, a 6.7-inch iPhone, and a 6.1-inch iPhone (or possibly two 6.1-inch models), with both higher-end iPhone 11 Pro-style devices and more affordable iPhone 11-style models.
Apple Watch – Series 6
With health being of huge importance this year, considering the global pandemic, we are expecting to see the next-generation Apple Watch in this announcement. We anticipate the new Apple Watch will feature faster performance, better water resistance, and improved wireless transmission for faster Wi-Fi and cellular speeds. It may also feature blood oxygen monitoring capabilities.
AirTags
Apple in iOS 13 introduced a new Find My feature that lets iOS and macOS devices be tracked even without a data connection by taking advantage of Bluetooth, and rumours suggest Apple could also expand this into a Tile-like Bluetooth tag that could be attached to any item. Some say that it may feature AR support for locating an item in a room and leashing to alert you when an item being tracked moves too far from an iPhone.
11-inch iPad Air
Can you believe it has been over a decade since Steve Jobs first introduced us to the iPad? This Autumn, we hope to see new iPad Air that may feature an all-screen display with an under-display version of Touch ID or Touch ID built into the Home button along with a 10.8-inch display size.
Low Cost iPad
Despite Apple being a premium product, could a low cost / budget iPad be on the horizon? Apple is rumoured to be working on a new 10.8-inch low-cost iPad that could come out in the forthcoming Autumn announcement. Let’s wait and see…
