This month we celebrate 23 years of Active Digital!
23 years ago, brother and sister, Richard and Joanne Groves, embarked on becoming the best in class for business mobiles. Selling his golf clubs and setting up business in a blue shed, they haven’t looked back. Together they have built a multi award winning communications company, partners to the best networks and technology providers.
Active Digital have gone from strength to strength, building exceptional customer relationships and leading the way in business mobiles. As a company we feel privileged to have a vast customer base including Caterham Cars, British Gymnastics and LEVC to name a few.
Starting off with local businesses in Paddock Wood the company have expanded year on year and head office is now based in Lamberhurst, Kent. There are offices across the UK to be able to reach the growing customer base. The dedicated Account Managers do an outstanding job of nurturing and providing their customers with the best possible customer service.
Dedication and passion has lead to multi award wins- O2 Customer Excellence and Digital Excellence, 2 Global Awards at the Stevie Awards, Mobile Industry, National Family Business and National Customer Service Awards – to name a few!

Q3 celebrations
At the beginning of October we indulged at the Tunbridge Wells Hotel.
A fantastic evening was had by all, we enjoyed welcome drinks, some super tasty food and a great presentation from Richard Groves.
We celebrated a fantastic quarter of record sales, gaining some very important customers, launched a new website, the release of the new iPhone and some great new members to our team.
Richard announced our employee of the quarter. Every member of staff had the opportunity to vote for their star employee. Someone that goes the extra mile and is a true team player. Congratulations to Richard Buchan, a well deserved award for all your continued hard work.
After the success of Goodwood we thought we might as well put our outfits to good use and all come dressed in retro attire.
Rebecca was also a winner that evening, a total shock to her! Rebecca won the best dressed of the evening. Great effort!

iPhone 11 or iFrown 11?
With the recent update of IOS 13.1.2 comes a brand new addition to the extensive iPhone family, the new iPhone 11, but what’s all the hype about and what does this new iPhone offer from previous models?
The Camera – with a new triple lenses feature, the camera is far more advanced as its ever been allowing pictures to be shot in ultrawide, wide and telephoto styles, designed to suite any type of picture for any skill level, its like having a DLSR camera always in your pocket.
The Display – the new Super Retina XDR now boasts two peaks of brightness, one maxing out at 1200 nits when the light is fluctuating and the other maxing at 800 nits whilst in bright setting, allowing for ultimate clarity and vision in all lighting situations.
The Battery – one of biggest flaws in previous iPhones has been the battery life and how it just doesn’t seem to last at all. Well, now the new iPhone 11 Max Pro comes with an additional 5 hours of life compared to other iPhones, up to 50% battery with just 30minutes of fast charge, so no more dead battery when you need it the most.
The Body and Screen- the new reinforced screen now comes with a 9H protection and the frosted glass back reduces the likeliness of scratches. The iPhones water resistance is at an all time high now being able to withstand being submerged under 4 metres of water for a full 30 minutes and still works perfectly.
The Other Cool Features – You can now connect 2 sets of Apple Air Pods to a device to make sharing music or videos even more personal, or if you like your videos loud, the Dolby Atmos system will allow sound to move around you and fill any 3D space. The Dual-SIM support lets you have 2 numbers on one device, negating the use for 2 phones, so no more business phone and personal phone, just all one device.
With the new Apple iPhone coming in 4 sleek colours; Silver, Gold, Space Grey and Midnight Green, all boasting a fantastic look and feel, there is only one question left to answer? iPhone 11 or iFrown 11?

Rebecca Oakley
Introducing Rebecca Oakley, Active Digitals Head of Fun!
Rebecca started her career with Active Digital 15 years ago. Starting off working on reception and dealing with the mobile phone repairs that came in. Rebecca has progressed through the company and has built some strong customer relationships.
With only having a couple of breaks from the business mainly to have her children, her knowledge is vast! Rebecca is an integral part of the support team. Most recently she has taken on the role of ‘Head of Fun’. She is quite literally the most favoured member of the team! Arranging all our staff events such as Goodwood, Golf days and company celebration meals. She is the lady to go to for the latest tickets available at the O2 and Twickenham, without fail she will try her absolute hardest to get you there.
As well as being a busy Mum of two, Rebecca works tirelessly to make sure she is doing everything to the highest of standards. An absolute credit to the team.
